Cloud Cap Inn (2017). Members of the Hood River Crag Rats search and rescue team enjoy the February sun. Members are recognizable in their distinctive black and white checkered shirts. The Crag Rats are the oldest mountain rescue organization in the United States.

Cloud Cap Inn was built in 1889 at 6,000 feet elevation on the north side of Mount Hood. Some guestrooms have signatures from guests dating back to the late 1800s.
